Standing with her feet in the Biosphère’s basin, actor Christine Beaulieu tells the story of the salmon of the Mitis River. She invites you to see the world through the eyes of wild salmon swimming upstream to reach their spawning grounds. It’s an opportunity to learn about their remarkable journey and reflect on how humans have transformed their reality.
A family-friendly interactive theatre performance that blends science and poetry. This ecological fable reveals the human impact on marine life.
The show also inspired an illustrated book published by La Bagnole. During each performance, illustrator Caroline Lavergne will be on-site drawing live—and some lucky spectators will get to take home an original piece of art!
After the success of J’aime Hydro—a show she has performed since 2015 and for which she earned the Prix Michel-Tremblay—and her standout role in L’œil du cyclone on Radio-Canada, Christine Beaulieu returns to documentary theatre. Her show Les saumons de la Mitis was first performed at the Jardins de Métis in 2021–2022, and again at the Biosphère in 2024.
