Celebrating entomophilia through dance

Following a 6-month dance residency at the Insectarium and in the studios of the Conseil des arts de Montréal, artist Claudia Chan Tak will perform her work at  on October 24, 25 and 26, 2024.

Trained in visual arts and contemporary dance, the artist explores her Malagasy-Chinese origins through the prism of insects from the country of her ancestors in this proposal that combines installation, movement, video projection and her mother's textile creations. She will be accompanied by Jackson Jaojoby and Benjamin Kamino on music. Prior to the 60-minute show, the public will be able to view a small exhibition of objects and images retracing her creative process at the Insectarium.
