The Planétarium invites you to take part in free stargazing evenings that are open to all. Come admire stars, planets and celestial phenomena during these themed gatherings, right in the heart of Montréal. At sundown, enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor activities and learn more about the wonders of the night sky. Captivating shows Inside, there’ll be presentations hosted by the Planétarium’s team, each one linked to the theme of the evening. Shows are offered in English in the Chaos Theatre and in French in the Milky Way Theatre. They run every 30 minutes, last about 20 minutes, and seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. In the main hall, dive into astronomy with our team of science educators. Learn, for example, how comets and meteorites form, and get hands-on with telescopes and star finders. Time for the telescopes Outdoors, observe the night sky using telescopes provided onsite. Volunteers from the Société d’astronomie du Planétarium de Montréal (SAPM) will join our science educators in helping you identify celestial objects and answer your questions.
