The Insectarium invites families to extend their experience with a workshop that brings together music and movement. Our program, designed in collaboration with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM), reveals the similarities between nature and an orchestra.

Explore nature through music!

This workshop, made up of four activities, invites visitors of all ages to discover the connections between an orchestra and an ecosystem. Participants explore and celebrate biodiversity through sounds, images and movement.

What do an orchestra and an ecosystem have in common?

An orchestra and an ecosystem are based on the same principle: their harmony depends on interdependence. In both cases, each element—whether an instrument or an organism—has its own role. Coordinating these roles is what creates a dynamic, coherent and rich whole.

Ongoing workshop on Saturdays, April 11 to May 16, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., in the Insectarium Workshop (at the end of the Great Vivarium pathway).
