Discover three fascinating species close to home

Did you know that Quebec is home to nearly 2,600 species of butterflies and moths?

Presented in the Pollinator Garden, the activity Insect Lives: Butterflies of Quebec invites you to discover the behaviours and adaptations of three iconic local species. Join our science educators to learn how to identify the monarch, cecropia moth and hummingbird moth and discover what they have in common and what sets each one apart.

You’ll also learn about the essential role butterflies play in healthy ecosystems and discover ways to attract them, drawing inspiration from the Pollinator Garden.
