The Dragon Boat Festival has been listed as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO

This traditional Chinese festival, celebrated on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month to mark the entry into the hot and rainy season, is worthy of its title!

It is believed that Yang, the energy of light and warmth, reaches its peak when the sun reaches its zenith on this day. In China, the dragon boat race is the ultimate event of these celebrations! The program is enriched with other traditional activities and customs such as carrying bags filled with medicinal and aromatic herbs, eating rice dumplings and eggs and sipping sulfurous red wine, as well as folk entertainment with opera, songs and unicorn dances.

Come and immerse yourself in authentic Chinese culture by taking part in the festivities at the Jardin botanique.

Dragon boat models, Chinese music and dragon dances will turn this event into a unique experience!
