Exploring the plant biodiversity on our plates is a tasty way to take part in the socio-ecological transition!

All summer long, we’ll be cultivating eco-friendly gourmet pleasures through fun a host of activities. On the menu: Learn how to reduce food waste, taste surprisingly flavourful plants, and have fun cooking in the play area with your little ones.

Recipes with a botanical flavour

From July 15 to August 10, cooking demonstrations take place with a great line-up of guest chefs. Original and inspiring recipes prepared with star plants such as spelt, mallow, pineappleweed and much, have been presented.

Guided activity in the Rose Garden

Come and experience a food adventure, where the most unsightly foods turn out to be the most appetizing!

Finger-licking Good Plants
Guided activity near the Japanese Pavilion

Come and sharpen your senses in this fun activity where you can smell and taste a bunch of stunning aromatic plants.

Kid's kitchen
Play area for ages 3 to 8,
near the Insectarium's Dome

An outdoors play area where youngsters get to prepare delicious make-believe recipes and practice cooking with sand, grains and soil.

  • Monday to Thursday, 1 & 2:30 p.m.
  • In the company of our special guests, enjoy tasting new flavours to add to your plate.
  • 8 years and up

I,m cooking!
Workshops for Kids 3 years and up,
at the Event tent

  • Friday and Saturday, 1, 2 and 3 p.m.
  • Youngsters will learn to identify ingredients, handle utensils safely, and follow a recipe step by step, before tasting and sharing their delicious creation!
