SUMMARY:Planning for Impact (webinaire)
DESCRIPTION:David Phipps will lead a webinar discussion presenting work aro
und the impact of research which he has helped lead\, develop and implemen
 t. The Co-produced Pathway to Impact simplifies many of the complex models
of knowledge mobilization. It is a logic model based framework for mappin
g the progress of research dissemination uptake implementation impact.
\nT
his framework is illustrated using collaborative research projects from Pr
omoting Relationships and Eliminating Violence Network (PREVNet)\, a pan-C
anadian community-university network engaging in knowledge mobilization to
promote healthy relationships among children and youth and prevent bullyi
ng. The Co-produced Pathway to Impact illustrates that research impact occ
urs when university researchers collaborate with non-academic partners who
produce the products\, policies\, and services that have impacts on the l
ives of end beneficiaries. Research impact is therefore measured at the le
vel of non-academic partners and identified by surveying research partners
to create narrative case studies of research impact.
\n
\nInscription : h

and 2012 Dr. Phipps was named the most influential knowledge mobilizer in
Canada and in 2012 York’s Knowledge Mobilization Unit was awarded a bes
t practice award from the European based Knowledge Economy Network. In 2
012 he was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recogniti
