 o.\nPeter Kannu is a Clinical Geneticist at The Hospital for Sick Childre
 n and an associate scientists at the SickKids Research Institute. His spec
 ial area of expertise is in the inherited disorders of the skeleton that c
 ause short stature\, arthritis and osteoporosis. He also provides genetic 
 counseling for children affected by inherited skin disorders and Neurofibr
 omatosis type 1. Peter trained in Paediatric medicine in New Zealand after
  completing his medical degree and then went on to further training in Cli
 nical Genetics at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute in Melbourne\,.
  Australia.  Prior to moving to Canada in 2009 to take up a position at Q
 ueen's University\, Peter was a Staff Geneticist at the Royal Children's H
 ospital in Melbourne.  His current research at SickKids focuses on unders
 tanding the biology of genetic disorders which affect growth\, bone and ca
 rtilage.\n \n \n \n
