DESCRIPTION:Titre : Flow Chemistry for Pharmaceutical SynthesisEndroit : Pa
 villon J.-Armand Bombardier\, salle 1035 à 13 h 45.Hôte : Vanessa Kair
 ouz
\nCette conférence sera prononcée (en anglais) par le Professeur
Joel Hawkins de Pfizer Global Research & Development.
\nRésumé :
\nFlo
w chemistry and continuous processing offer advantages for the synthesis a
nd manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) from chemistry\
, engineering\, and business perspectives. These are exemplified by the sy
nthesis of an H antagonist where excellent mixing\, stoichiometry control\
, and heat3 removal increased the chemoselectivity of a tubo-Grignard addi
tion\, and the synthesis of tafamidis where a flow oxidation route improve
d the environmental or E-factor by tenfold relative to the original route.
Additionally\, the development of flow hydrogenations using small particl
e catalysts are described which improve the stereoselectivity\, chemoselec
tivity\, and efficiency of the reduction of intermediates in API syntheses
relative to batch hydrogenations. And lastly\, simple processes flowing t
hrough metal oxide catalysts are described for efficient oxidations\, redu
 ctions\, and hydrolyses.
\n
\nInformation supplémentaireAnnonce PDF de
