 straints on new light particles\, specifically light dark sector particles
  interacting with the visible sector through dark forces\, from white dwar
 f cooling and supernova energy-loss arguments.  The constraints obtained 
 are complementary to standard constraints from beam-dump experiments\, ele
 ctron-positron colliding experiments\, fixed-target experiments\, anomalou
 s magnetic moment measurements and rare meson decay measurements.
