SUMMARY:Ultrafast interface dynamics – Guglielmo Lanzani\, Center for Nan

DESCRIPTION:Guglielmo Lanzani\, Center for Nano Science and Technology of I
 IT & Politecnico di Milano\, ItalyPump-probe spectroscopy is applied to se
 veral donor acceptor interfaces that are constituents of third generation 
 solar cells. Following photoexcitation of the donor states or hybrid inter
 face states this technique allows to track down the excitation path to a c
 harge separated state or recombination. Parameters ruling interface dynami
 cs\, such as morphology\, energy alignment or excess energy\, are studied.
  In the talk evidence for hot state dissociation\, occurring before vibrat
 ional relaxation\, will be brought for the case of low band gap polymer/fu
 llerene interface. Energy transfer in competition with charge transfer wil
 l be highlighted in standard P3HT/PCBM bulk heterojunction. Finally dynami
 cs in hybrid systems\, such as oxide/polymer will also be discussed.  Si
