 ra donnée en anglais. Résumé : As part of a program aimed at the disco
 very of new metal-mediated reactions\, we found that aromatic N-heterocycl
 es can be synthesized from vinyl- or aryl azides using transition metal ca
 talysts to mediate C–N bond formation. Using transition metal catalysts\
 , we have successfully constructed a range of N-heterocycles\, whose motif
 s are present in biologically relevant small molecules.  From a fundament
 al view\, our research has established new reactivity patterns for transit
 ion metal reagents and azides\, where the mechanism for C–N bond formati
 on depends on the structure of the azide and identity of the catalyst. Inf
