\nRésumé : Indole alkaloids with broad skeleton dive
 rsity and important bioactivities have attracted attention of chemists for
  over a century. Indeed\, the polycyclic structures of these natural produ
 cts provided ideal test ground for the development of novel synthetic stra
 tegies and for the application of newly discovered reactions/transformatio
 ns. In this talk\, we will present a unified strategy that allowed us to a
 ccomplish the total synthesis of a number of structurally distinct indole 
 alkaloids from simple cycloalkenes\, emphasizing particularly on the desig
 n of integrated one-pot domino polycyclization processes.
