  de sciences et de technologie à Trondheim. Les contributions de Malinnik
 ova incluent des travaux novateurs réalisés conjointement avec A. Loguno
 v sur la géométrie nodale des fonctions propres du laplacien\, qui ont m
 ené à la preuve de deux conjectures importantes de ce domaine mathémati
 que dues à Shing-Tung Yau et Nikolai Nadirashvili. Les réalisations scie
 ntifiques d'Eugenia Malinnikova ont mené à l’obtention d’un Clay Res
 earch Award en 2017 et à une invitation comme conférencière à l’ICM 
 2018 de Rio de Janeiro.

 ency function to the study of nodal sets Résumé :The properties of the f
 requency function explained in the first lecture can be applied to estimat
 es of the zero sets of eigenfunctions of the Laplace-Beltrami operator on 
 compact manifolds. In dimension two\, the first result was obtained by Don
 nelly and Fefferman in the 1980s. Their estimate for the size of the zero 
 set from above was slightly improved in our recent work with A. Logunov\, 
 the new ingredients of the proof being the combinatorial properties of the
  frequency function. More detailed analysis of the frequency function led 
 Logunov to new estimates for the zero set of eigenfunctions in higher dime
 nsions\, and we will survey some of his results as well.
