 oon after its discovery in 2004\, the remarkable properties of graphene ha
 ve led to numerous claims to solving many of our world’s issues in terms
  of energy\, electronics\, opto-electronics\, mechanical strength\, quantu
 m engineering\, superconductivity\, safety\, filtering\, chemical detectio
 n\, music\, bio-integration\, nano-medicine\, and many more. After reviewi
 ng some these claims and their validity\, I will discuss several applicati
 ons of graphene in our group\, including phonon engineering\, nanometer mi
 croscopy in liquid cells\, graphene molding and photocells.
