\nDr. Wong is a Professor of Biom
 edical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering and an Inaugural 
 Term Distinguished Professor of Engineering at Boston University. She is a
 lso Director of ARROWS\, Office of the Provost\, focused on promoting wome
 n in STEM at BU. She is an elected Fellow of the Biomedical Engineering So
 ciety (BMES) and of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engin
 eering (AIMBE).    
\nRESEARCH FOCUS: Development of novel biomaterials
  to detect and treat disease. Elucidation of fundamental molecular\, cellu
 lar\, and colloidal/interfacial processes for specific biomedical applicat
 ions.
\nCURRENT PROJECTS: Pediatric vascular tissue engineering\; Vascular
 ized tissue engineering\; Theranostics for cardiovascular disease and canc
