SUMMARY:Conférence du Professeur Thomas Hirsch ( Universität Regensburg)
DESCRIPTION:Titre : Development of Nanomaterials for (Bio-)Analytical Appli
 cationsEndroit : Pavillon J.-Armand Bombardier\, salle 1035 à 10 h 30.H
 ôte : Professeur Jean-François Masson
\nCette conférence sera prononc
ée (en anglais) par le Professeur Thomas Hirsch de l'Université de Rat
 isbonne.
\nRésumé :
\nIn the development of (bio-)analytical application
s one of many other challenges is still the sensitive as well as selective
detection or targeting of an analyte of interest. In order to decrease th
e detection limits nanomaterials are promising candidates\, as these mater
ials offer the possibility to immobilize receptor units at large numbers a
t reduced volumes. Second\, nanomaterials can act as transduction elements
themselves\, enabling new strategies in analyte detection. Among such nan
 omaterials\, upconversion nanoparticles\, carbon-dots\, graphene\, photoni
c crystals\, and nanostructured gold films are intensively studied in our
group. This talk will summarize our latest strategies in designing\, fabri
cating and applying nanomaterials which provide further advantages than ju
st an enhanced surface area. Examples from lactate sensing by the use of u
pconversion nanoparticles to intracellular theranostic applications will b
 e discussed.
\nInformation supplémentaireAnnonce PDF de la conférence
\n
