SUMMARY:Conférence du Professeur Vladimir Gevorgyan (UIC)
DESCRIPTION:Titre :  Silicon Tether Motif in C-H Functionalization of Hete
rocycles and Beyond.La conférence sera prononcée par le professeur Vlad
imir Gevorgyan du Département de chimie de l'University of Illinois at Ch
icago. Elle sera donnée en anglais. Résumé : We have developed a set o
 f new transition metal-catalyzed C-H activation methodologies employing a
silicon-tether motif. These methods feature: (a) use of silyl group as a t
ether between a substrate and a reagent\, thus transforming intermolecular
  reaction into intramolecular reaction\; (b) employment of a silicon-tethe
red directing group\, which is traceless or easily convertable into valuab
 le functionalities\; (c) use of silyl-tethered hydrosilane reagent\; and (
 d) introduction of new N/Si-chelation concept that allows for a remote act
ivation of aliphatic C-H bonds. The scope of these transformations will be
demonstrated and the mechanisms will be discussed. Information supplémen
