 ry of education at Karlstads University. He is also the project manager fo
 r the development of the national exams inhistory in primary school. His d
 octoral thesis dealt with the narration and use of history in Cities. Toda
 y he is doing research on assessment in social studies and the useof histo
 ry in the society.Martin Stolare works at the Centre for Social Science Ed
 ucation\, Karlstads University. History Education in the Primary School is
  Stolare’s major field of interest\, were he especially focuses on the h
 istory teacher and their work. Stolare has a background as a historian\, a
 s such he has done research within the fields of Social Movements and Educ
 ation History.
