For the graphene production\, Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and Liquid Phase Exfoliation (LPE) are techniques suitable for its production. Howeve r\, both procedures present several limitations such as the need of comple mentary treatment to extract graphene from the substrate or the solvent an d the use of harmful catalysts which increase the number of defects of the synthesized material. \n  \nRecently\, microwave plasmas have been repor ted as efficient\, clean and environmentally friendly tool for the synthes is of catalyst-free graphene by using ethanol as carbon sources. These pla smas can operate at relativity low powers (< 1 kW)\, presenting high stabi lity and reproducibility within a wide range of operational conditions. Fu rthermore\, the possibility of generating at atmospheric pressure\, make t hem an economic and attractive technique for implementation of the process es at industrial scale\, reducing the production costs. \n  \nCette conf érence est présentée par le RQMP Versant Nord du Département de phy sique de l'Université de Montréal et de Génie physique de la Polytec hnique.
