DESCRIPTION:« MIGRATIONS » L’exposition combine une installation 3-D d
 ’objets peints\, des photographies de ces mêmes installations et une vi
 déo\, conçues il y a six ans à l’occasion de sa traversée du contine
 nt nord américain. L’imagerie de Françoise Issaly est riche en référ
 ences aux croyances du bouddhisme tibétain qui parle de notre migration d
 ’une naissance à une autre\, dans un cycle sans fin. Le bouddhiste pens
 era que nous sommes tous d’un point de vue psychologique des êtres migr
 ateurs qui passent d’un état à un autre. Après avoir peint cette myst
 érieuse série de formes organiques tridimensionnelles alors qu’elle vi
 vait en Californie\, Françoise Issaly décida d’amener une partie sa «
  petite famille » à travers le continent\, d’un État à l’autre et 
 d’un état d’esprit à l’autre\, réalisant des installations au fur
  et à mesure de sa progression. Les installations furent documentées à 
 travers de nombreuses photographies. L’exposition est le résultat visue
 l de la migration de l’artiste dans le temps et l’espace\, dans sa qu
 ête personnelle de compréhension du monde\, et à travers laquelle elle 
 questionne son sentiment d’appartenance et son identité.The exhibition 
 includes an installation of 3-D painted objects\, photographs of these sam
 e installations and a video that were made 6 years ago during her journey 
 across the North American continent. Françoise Issaly’s imagery is rich
  in references to Tibetan Buddhist beliefs of the endless migration that t
 akes us from one birth to the next in a never-ending cycle. The Buddhist p
 oint of view suggests that psychologically we are migrators and that human
  beings are in a perpetual state of motion going from one thing to another
 . After painting this enigmatic series of biomorphic three dimensional sha
 pes while she was living inCalifornia\, Issaly decided to bring along a pa
 rt of her “little family” across the continent depicting the cyclic na
 ture of life from one state of mind to another. As Issaly literally moved 
 from state to state her unusual objects were placed in outdoor settings am
 ongst nature and then carefully documented through photography. This exhib
 ition is the visual result of Issaly’s migration across time and space i
 n her personal quest to understand her own progression within the world as
