DESCRIPTION:This series of paintings is about failure. They are pictures of
  the built environment in a state of deterioration\, abandonment\, or at t
 heir catastrophic end. The images come from newspapers\, my own photograph
 s\, or video stills. I intentionally paint the image - rather than a scene
  directly - to load the paintings with a still and quiet quality. I’ve p
