 tions du corps. Les figures dégagent aussi la sérénité et la concentra
 tion d'un danseur\, et leur grâce corporelle est belle. The human figure 
 and its defining perimeter are of primary concern in these works. Furlong
 ’s process\, based in drawing and painting\, incorporates references to 
 performance\, sculpture and dance and retains a strong graphic assurance t
 hat anchors her semiotic exploration. Writhing figures\, alone and in grou
 ps\, assume poses that verge on the unnatural as Furlong tests the limitat
 ions of the body. At the same time\, the figures radiate a dancer’s sere
