This workshop aims to give participants realistic strategies to effectively raise money for the production of their short film projects. Topics to be explored include: how to leverage Facebook and other social media, crowdfunding techniques, guerrilla marketing strategies as well as how to ask strangers for money.

Instructor: Adam Reider

Adam Reider is an award-winning Montreal based filmmaker and owner of the production company Rail City Media. Adam's films have screened around the world and have been selected for programming in many film international film festivals. All of his movies have been self funded with no help from any grants of any kind. His D.I.Y. attitude towards filmmaking and fundraising as well as his ability to harness the power of social media has helped him follow his passion in life and make films on a consistent basis.
